1. Algebra Warm-Ups

I formally end my Assistant Principal job and grow to be Head of Maths on 1st September. I spent the initial week of the vacations having trapped into Head of Maths things, which I extensively savored. I have a class of 32 excellent Yr 11 mathematicians raring to go. Immediately after taking a four calendar year break from training A stage to set up a new faculty, it is really charming to have calculus back again in my existence. And trig identities! As a great deal as I’ve loved concentrating on Critical Levels 3 and 4 for the last couple yrs, these subject areas are my delighted area.

I’m off on vacation with my spouse and children for two months tomorrow – we are heading to a cottage in Cornwall. I won’t be able to wait. When I get again, I am hunting forward to a couple of chilled months at the conclude of August, which includes catching up with maths academics at Dr Frost’s triannual beverages.
